Announcements: Emergency response exercise may affect medical appointments

Title

Emergency response exercise may affect medical appointments

Body

An installation-level emergency response exercise is scheduled to take place on Fort Knox from Tuesday, July 31 - Friday, Aug. 3. People on the installation may notice increased activity involving law enforcement, the fire department, as well as other Fort Knox organizations and emergency support vehicles. Please also note that this exercise may at times likely result in delays/temporary closures at the post's primary access control points (Chaffee, Brandenburg and Wilson gates) as well as some temporary road closures and detours.

These delays or temporary closures may affect your scheduled medical appointment. If you are unable to reach your appointment on time please call the appointment line at 800-493-9602 or 502-799-5901 and let us know how we can meet your needs.

Please do not be alarmed at the exercise activities. However, do not hesitate to contact the military police desk at (502) 624-2111 if you have concerns, or dial 911 if you believe a legitimate emergency exists. Everyone's patience and understanding is appreciated as this essential training is carried out.
