SOCIAL WORK SERVICES / FAMILY ADVOCACY PROGRAM

Couples Skills Group: This four session course will teach practical skills/tools to help with everyday life when the going gets tough.  A new group begins the first Wednesday of every month and for the next three Wednesdays thereafter.  GROUP TIMES: 1030 - 1200

Families In Transition: Families in Transition (FIT) offers parents and children a three hour educational program on how to effectively cope with the problems resulting from divorce.  The program is recommended for children ages 5-17, and classes are offered once a month starting at 0800.  Dates for this group will vary so please call (502) 626-6170 to confirm dates.

Anger Management: Learn simple but effective skills to understand the consequences of anger in your relationships, career and health.  Develop  helpful tools to improve everyday communication with family, friends, and co-workers.  This is a 12 week session that requires pre-screening.  please call (502) 626-6170 to schedule.   Men's Classes are Wednesdays from 1300-1500 and Women's Classes are Mondays from 1300-1500.

Healthy Thinking/Anger Management: This 8 week session begins on the first Tuesday of each month designed to turn destructive anger into constructive anger. All participants require a pre-screening and groups are scheduled from 1300-1400.

Stress Management Group: This group is held Monday - Thursday from 1430 - 1630 and each person attending must have a signed PCM form approving them for exercise.  This group has four objectives: To learn about healing, Laugh and contribute to the group, Improve social networking, and Participate in the groups according to the limits of the PCM.

Chemical Abuse Family Education (CAFE): Cafe is a 90 minute educational class for (non-active duty) family members who have questions about the effects of substance abuse for themselves or someone they care about.  They can also obtain information about ongoing services and support groups.  The group is provider referred, and is every Tuesday from 1230 - 1400.
