Records Department is located on the basement level of Ireland Army
Community Hospital near the elevators. Our mission is to secure and
maintain outpatient records for active-duty soldiers, retirees, family
members and civil service employees who are eligible for care at this
Effective 1 December 2007, Outpatient Records will implement a new
policy for the custody and control of Medical Records.
Patients will no longer be allowed to hand carry their medical records
Army medical records are the property of the Government. Thus, the same
controls that apply to other Government documents apply to Army medical
records. (See AR 40-66, 1-5)
