nurses have a unique and demanding role that requires a great deal of
dedication, compassion and professionalism. Our current nursing staff has over

The mission of the Operating Room is to provide
and promote total, optimal and safe nursing care to all patients in accordance
with accepted professional nursing standards, policies, and as directed by the
Chief, DON, and Commander, IRACH. Peri-operative nursing must maintain and
support the necessary programs that are essential to the various skill levels of
personnel assigned within the section in order to promote and sustain a high
level of "quality" nursing care.
The Operating Room Nursing Section has a
responsibility to all of its employees to treat them as individuals, recognizing
that each individual has certain basic human rights and privileges. The Section
also has the responsibility in providing for their welfare, personal growth, and
development. We have an obligation to treat everyone within our scope, patients
and personnel alike, with dignity and respect.
